Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information StudyX Overseas ("we", "us") collects through this website and counselling portal, why we collect it, and who we share it with. It applies to visitors, contact-form submissions, and registered student and parent accounts.

Information you give us directly

• Contact form: name, phone number, email address, destination and service of interest, and any message you write.
• Account sign-up: your name and email address, handled by our authentication provider, Clerk. If you sign up with Google, Clerk receives your name, email and profile photo from Google.
• Student profile: destination interest, application and document status, and — once a counsellor adds them — programme cost, loan amount and EMI figures, and your assigned counsellor's name.
• Parent profile: your name and email address, and your link to your child's student profile once a counsellor approves it.

Information collected automatically

Our authentication provider sets session cookies to keep you signed in and to tell student, parent and admin accounts apart. We do not currently run advertising or cross-site tracking pixels on this site.

How we use this information

• To respond to counselling enquiries and contact-form submissions
• To operate your student or parent portal account
• To let a linked parent view their own child's costs and application progress — nothing else
• To send you email about your enquiry or account (for example, a new-lead confirmation)

We do not sell your information to third parties.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers ("sub-processors") to run this site. Each only receives the data it needs to do its job:

• Clerk — authentication and account management
• Neon — our Postgres database host, where your profile and lead data is stored
• Vercel — website hosting and infrastructure
• Resend — delivers transactional email (contact-form notifications)

Data retention

We keep contact-form and account data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide counselling services, and delete or anonymise it on request (see Your rights below) unless we're required to keep it longer for legal or accounting reasons.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you at any time by emailing kamepalliasil143@gmail.com. There is currently no self-service account-deletion option in the portal, so requests are handled manually.

Security

Data is stored with our infrastructure providers listed above, transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections, and account access is protected by our authentication provider. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

Children's privacy

This site is intended for prospective students, typically applying to higher education programmes, and their parents. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service changes. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "last updated" date above.
